The Stakeholder Commentary and Advisory Services

The Ethical Corporation offers both commentary and advisory services to companies and other organisations.

Our clients needs have all been different. For some it's been about getting started on CSR. For others, it's been developing cutting-edge human rights or community engagement strategies. We think we've been able to assist them on their progress in responsible business.

We have about forty years of combined experience in the field of CSR. This means we believe we are able to offer clients useful insight.

We've worked with a variety of organisations. These range from large multi-national companies to a major museum and a small software company.

The Ethical Corporation also advises the UK Conservative Party leadership on CSR. In 2006-8 we convened a working group for the party and published two public reports with recommendations for David Cameron and the Shadow Cabinet. We continue to work with the senior leadership of the party and Shadow Ministers to implement our ideas. Click here to view the latest report we published in 2008 for the Party.

The work we do with companies and others generally falls under three categories:

  1. Advisory work: Working through a CSR or specific strategy with a client, as required, to deliver results based on your company's needs. With over 15 conferences a year, publish 600 pages a year of our magazine, and have a research arm, we know what's happening in other firms, and what works and what doesn't. So we work with companies and others to help them work through a responsible business problem and implement what they need. We like it, its fun.
  2. Stakeholder commentary services: Our Reporting Clinic commentary services are where we look at a company's progress on responsible business, or a specific issue, and well, offer comment they might find useful. This can be done privately, or in a CSR report or on a website. We've done this recently for a number of big companies such as this one, and are beginning a year long project with a major UK newspaper as well. We've partnered with CSR report expert Simon Propper, the Director of Context, in order to give you two perspectives from professionals with years of experience in reviewing CSR reports. You'll also benefit from our constant exposure to best practice via our research and conferences, we think we can be useful to companies. Clients tell us they are happy with our work. 3. Company track records: Are you interested in knowing which organisations are best-suited for a CSR-based partnership with your company? We do the necessary ethical forensics so that you can make an informed decision. We provide you with a company's ethical track record and its strategic approach to sustainability.
